The Krishnampuram Palace was built in the 18th century during the reign of Marthanda Varma. This double-storied structure hosts the largest mural paintings in Kerala. The Gajendra Moksham is 49 square meters and depicts an elephant saluting Lord Vishnu. Ambazhapuzha Temple

Chettikulangara Bhagavathi Temple

The Chettikulangara Bhagavathy Temple in Mavelikara is one of the main temples of Shakti devotion. It is believed to have been consecrated by Padmapadacharyar, a disciple of Adi Shankara. The temple is also believed to be the daughter of the Kodungallur Bhagavathy. Thousands of people visit the temple during the annual Bharani festival to admire the beautiful effigies arranged during the process.
